Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 4/5/25 ·  Last Updated: 6/6/26

This Privacy Policy applies to the website operated by Jon Spring. The services are delivered exclusively offline, in person. This website is informational only — we do not sell products, process online payments, or create user accounts. As a result, the personal information we collect is limited.

  1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information gathered when you visit jonspring.fit. It also describes your rights as a California resident under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.

This policy does not govern information collected as part of an offline personal training agreement, which is addressed in your separate client service contract.

  1. Information We Collect

Because this is a purely informational website with no e-commerce, we collect very limited personal information:

  1. a) Information You Voluntarily Provide
  • Contact form submissions: If you use a contact form on the website, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message.
  • Email or phone inquiries: If you contact us directly using the contact details listed on the website, we receive the information you choose to share.
  1. b) Information Collected Automatically
  • Log data: Our web host may automatically collect standard server log information, including your IP address, browser type, referring/exit URLs, and pages visited. This data is used for security and server administration purposes only.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: As described in our Cookie Policy, this website uses a small number of cookies — primarily WordPress operational cookies and, if applicable, basic anonymous analytics. Please review our Cookie Policy for full details.
  1. c) Information We Do Not Collect
  • Payment or financial information (no transactions occur on this website).
  • Health, fitness, or medical information through this website.
  • Sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.
  • Information from minors under 16 years of age (we do not knowingly collect it).
  1. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about our services.
  • To maintain and improve the performance and security of this website.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose incompatible with the above.

  1. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We may share information with trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the website (such as our web host or WordPress plugin providers), solely to the extent necessary to provide those services, and subject to confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jon Spring, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections described in this policy.
  1. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Contact form messages and email correspondence are generally retained for 12 months and then deleted. Server log data is retained for a maximum of 120 days.

  1. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we hold against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include SSL/TLS encryption on this website and access controls on administrative systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  1. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 9.

Right to Know

You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, including sources, purposes, and third parties with whom it has been shared.

Right to Delete

You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law (e.g., legal obligations).

Right to Correct

You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale

We do not sell personal information. No opt-out is required, but you may contact us to confirm this at any time.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. Exercising your rights will not affect any services you receive from us.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Info

We do not collect sensitive personal information through this website, so this right is satisfied by default.

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days of receipt. We may extend this period by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, with prior written notice.

  1. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. This website currently does not respond to DNT signals in a standardized way, as no uniform industry standard exists. Our cookie and data practices, as described in this policy and our Cookie Policy, remain the same regardless of DNT settings.

  1. Children’s Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

  1. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes will be highlighted where feasible.
